We have a weird problem in our kitchen, it always smells like caramel and cooked food, even if we’re not using it. Even now it smells, when I’m sitting on a computer far from stove. If we have home ghosts, I wish they’d show up and tell us who they are. This house is from 1923, there has to be more than a few stories happened inside this apartment. Till I meet the ex owners, this is how the kitchen looks like.
I love old wooden kitchen tools, especially spoons. The collection fits nicely inside the crocheted basket. Those hexagon pot coasters are from Kuusi collection, made by a Spanish company. Striped decomposing dish cloths are from my Paper and Yarn collection.
Here’s the tiniest crochet basket serving as a sugar cube holder, next to it is the best chocolate powder ever, from Clipper, and of course Kusmi tea. Mint chocolate tea is my favourite!
Here’s again my Ming vases, mint green and grey. The table is an old find from recycling center, same as the chair. When you sit on this chair, it breaks into pieces, it’s one of those fixing projects that will most likely never be done. Carpet is one of my doilies, and those dots on the wall I glued with Mr. Strong a while ago.
Black kitchen doily is so practical! No beetroot stains show in this.
Here’s a close view on the doily.
On Sunday we had some free time. It took only couple of hours to open the stickers and place them on the wall symmetrically. The dotted room is really relaxing, not psychedelic at all, really.
