Vintage lamp shades are real beauties. I have been collecting them when I was younger, and now I found them from the basement. I took them upstairs, removed the holey fabrics and unsafe old electronic parts, and painted them.

These lamps won’t be for sale, but there will be instructions how to make yours in my up coming Crochet book.

After the paint dried, I covered the wires with crochet.

First one is ready and hanging on the wall. I found the beautiful lamp cord from Strand West shop in Utrecht two summers ago, it’s thin and shiny black, and reminds of an old velvet curtain ribbon. Similar cord can be found from Smyygi shop in Helsinki.
